Most AI tool lists are one long alphabet. Protooled starts from the other end: pick the desk you sit at, then the job you need done, and the catalogue narrows to the handful of tools that actually do it.
Every listing carries the same fields — what the tool is for, what it plugs into, what the plans cost and whether there is a free tier — so two listings can be read side by side without opening two vendor sites.
How a listing gets added
Tools enter the catalogue when they solve a job a profession already has a hub for. If a job has no hub yet and enough tools do it, the hub comes first and the listings follow.
Pricing is the vendor's list price at the time the listing was written, in USD, including the per-user and per-client multipliers that decide the real bill. Where a plan is quote-only we say so rather than guess, and those records are counted in the pricing transparency index.
Who writes it
The listings, pricing records and guides are written and maintained by Yehor Kharchenko, Editor, Protooled. The profile page describes how each part of the catalogue is put together.
How the catalogue is paid for
Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, Protooled may earn a referral fee at no extra cost to you, and it never changes where a tool sits in the catalogue or what its listing says. See the affiliate disclosure.
